We help those people who have no hope. Effective training and education programs are a key component of strong locals and strong unions. The work of the education team is focused on developing and delivering quality training and resources to DHHS activists, leaders, officers and staff throughout the federation. The goals of the department as outlined below are aligned with the Big Enough to Win Strategic Plan adopted at the 2015 National Convention.

• To reach more members through increased access and availability of training and educational resources.
• To strengthen and enhance the capacity of councils, districts, and staff to deliver effective trainings online and in the classroom.
• To engage more members through social learning networks and virtual communities of practice in key areas such Leadership, Stewardship, Collective Bargaining, Legislative and Political Action and Mentorship.
• To provide grant opportunity to those who qualify.
